The Elements 16kg Weight Vest can be adjusted from 0 to 16kg using the 16 included 1kg iron blocks. The design is comfortable and the materials are durable. The design allows the weight vest to be used for a wide variety of activities; calisthenics, such as pushups, pull-ups, squats, dips; running; cross training etc.
Should you get the 10kg, 16kg or 20kg vest?
That depends on your weight, intended exercises and desired repetition range. A good rule of thumb is to work up to about 15% of your body weight for high-level athletes and 20% of your body weight for elite-level athletes.
Many people choose a vest that they will work into over time. For example, you may buy a 16kg vest and start with only 10kg by removing 6kg from your vest.
One huge benefit of this vest is that the shoulders aren’t so wide that they cut into your shoulders when doing pull-ups – a common problem with other weighted vests on the market. Our vest’s shoulder pads are 8.5cm wide. The optimum width so that you can move freely, but not so narrow that the weight isn’t adequately distributed across your shoulders.
The vest fits snugly to your body but still allows you to move freely! One size fits most and the vest can be adjusted at the velcro strap and durable plastic buckle.
